Notary Public Fees

$15.00 per notarized signature: applies to acknowledgments and jurats.

Fees are set by the State of California.

Travel & Mobile Service Fees

Mobile notary services are available for larger or specialized assignments only, subject to availability.

Travel fees are separate from notary fees, and vary based on:


  • Distance
  • Time
  • Complexity of the assignment


All travel fees are quoted and agreed upon in advance.

Karen does not offer general mobile notary services for routine documents.

Live Scan Fingerprinting

Live Scan fees consist of the rolling fee for the fingerprinting and the background check fee.


We charge a rolling fee of $40.00.

Background check fees are set by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI and are not controlled by Southern Charm Notary.


Additionally, if your requesting agency asked for an FBI check, an FBI fee will be due.

Apostille Assistance

Fees vary depending on:

  • Number of documents
  • Destination country
  • Processing speed requested


Apostille services may require additional processing time.

Quotes provided after document review.


Loan Signing Services

Loan signing appointments start at $150.

Fee varies based on:

  • Document size
  • Location
  • Time required
  • Travel fees may apply.

Same-day or after-hours requests may incur additional fees.

After-hours, weekend, and holiday services may incur additional fees.

Invoicing is available for approved escrow, title, and business clients.
